THE FUNNY PHOTOS “MINI” E-ZINE
With so many parents, pet owners, and photographers visiting our website, FunnyPhotosContest.com has added a special feature to the bottom of several of our web pages -- “Mini” E-zines to share tips on photography, caring for pets, raising children, and family matters. With three separate groups of viewers, we have created three separate “Mini” E-zines. The one for pet owners will appear at the bottom of the ”Funny Photos” page. The one for parents will appear at the bottom of the ”Cute Photos” page. And the one for photographers will appear at the bottom of the ”Submit Photos” page
We hope you will contribute to our “Mini” E-zine by sending your tips, articles, etc. to funnyphotoscontest@gmail.com. You are welcome to include your name or remain anonymous and we will post as many of your submissions as we can. So…here goes.
TAKING PHOTOS
Tips for Taking Good Photographs
1. Use the flash setting on your camera, even outdoors, for better photographs.
2. Be prepared, always carry memory cards and backup power with your digital camera.
3. Turn your camera sideways and take some vertical photographs for variety.
4. Hold your camera at the subject’s eye level. For children and pets that means bending to their level.
5. When choosing a digital camera, those at the low end give low-resolution, suitable for computer viewing. Those at the high end give exceptional quality photographs and advanced features.
6. Before buying a camera, be sure it meets your computer’s requirements.
7. Move close to the subject to focus on the details and eliminate background distractions from your photo.
8. Clean the outside of your camera by wiping it with a clean, dry cloth or soft camel’s hair brush.
9. Keep your camera in a bag to protect it from dirt, dust, and unforeseen falls.
